First Great Western
Using Wireless Logic’s ManageNet and Wap Push, First North Western is now utilising a messaging solution that offers clear cost-effective benefits over their previous pager solution; guaranteeing delivery of messages to individual users and groups with users only needing to carry one device. The service delivered is providing a 50% cost saving and was nominated for the Railway’s Industry’s prestigious Innovative Technology Award.
Wireless Logic has a dedicated secure link to the FNW control centre in Birmingham and messages are routed from their control centre to the Wireless Logic data Centre where messaging servers are hosted by Wireless Logic and push out the messages to mobile phones with a Static IP address. The service delivers these messages in real-time to the phone using GPRS as opposed to SMS.
