Helping Croydon Council
Currently under trial, Wireless Logic has developed a mobile data solution enabling Croydon’s Social Workers to visit patients armed with a tablet P.C and access to the council offices’ applications. Information can now be inputted into the Patient Record systems in real-time – the previous system was manual requiring information to be replicated onto systems as much as three times. The new system improves morale and increases productivity and efficiency. If the pilot is deemed successful the solution will be rolled out to 800 users.
“Mobile working is key to the future strategy of Croydon Council to help aid mobile workers and increase our communication links and extend our LAN to the remote worker and home worker. This project is just the start of the road to mobile and flexible working” Keith Mackey (IT Manager).
